Increased drug use in Namibia following alcohol ban

The Namibian police force has reported increased illicit drug use and drug seizures since strict measures, including a ban on alcohol, were implemented to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Police reported seizing N$500,000 (approx. $26,934) worth of illicit drugs in April, mainly comprising cannabis, Mandrax, cocaine and crack cocaine.
